Why We Serve
Our purpose is to responsibly place service-dog prospect puppies, foster dogs, and rehomed service dogs with disabled veterans and children, helping support greater independence, emotional well-being, companionship, and overall quality of life through carefully matched dogs and compassionate placement practices.

Service-Dog Prospect Placement
We place doodle puppies that show strong potential for future service work with disabled veterans, foster families, and families of children with disabilities. All puppies are donated to the nonprofit by Gentle Paw Goldendoodles, a responsible breeding program focused on stable temperaments, sound structure, and companion-oriented traits. Families pursue training through accredited service-dog trainers or programs of their choice. Our role is to provide a thoughtfully matched starting point for each family’s service-dog journey while supporting connection, companionship, and quality of life.
Service Dog Rescue and Rehoming
When a trained service dog loses their handler due to illness, passing, or major life changes, we provide a safe, stable, and compassionate transition. We carefully evaluate each dog, address its physical and emotional needs, and work to place the dog with a disabled veteran, foster family, or family of a child with disabilities whose lifestyle and needs align with the dog’s training, temperament, and abilities. This process allows the dog to continue living with purpose while providing meaningful support, companionship, and improved quality of life to someone in need.
Education and Support Services
We offer guidance to veterans and families preparing for the responsibilities of raising or integrating a service-dog prospect. This includes information on selecting a trainer, understanding training expectations, and planning for long-term care. While we do not train service dogs ourselves, we help families make informed, responsible decisions throughout the process.
Poodle and Doodle Rescue
Our Poodle and Doodle Rescue Program is dedicated to providing safe, compassionate placement and rehabilitation for poodles, doodles, and poodle mixes in need of a second chance. Many of the dogs we take in come from difficult situations, owner surrenders, life changes, or homes unable to meet their needs. We focus on evaluating each dog’s temperament, health, and personality to help place them in loving, stable homes or identify those with the potential to support veterans and children with disabilities as future companion or service-dog prospects. Our goal is to ensure every dog receives proper care, structure, and the opportunity to thrive in an environment where they are valued, supported, and loved.
