Our Work
Changing Lives Through Dogs, Compassion, and Community
At Loving Doodles for Children and Veterans with Disabilities, our mission is to improve lives by connecting disabled veterans and children with disabilities to carefully selected dogs and puppies that have the potential to become loyal companions, emotional support animals, or future service dogs.
We believe the bond between people and dogs can provide comfort, confidence, independence, and unconditional love. Through our programs, we strive to create life-changing connections while ensuring every dog receives the care, support, and opportunity they deserve.
Our Programs
Service & Emotional Support Puppy Program
We help disabled veterans and families of children with disabilities gain access to carefully selected puppies with strong potential for service or emotional support work.
Each puppy is chosen based on health, temperament, and suitability for future training. While puppies are not provided as fully trained service dogs, they are selected for qualities that may make them excellent candidates for service, therapy, or emotional support training.
Our goal is to provide families with a strong foundation for a lifelong partnership that promotes confidence, independence, companionship, and emotional well-being.
Rescue & Rehoming Program
Our rescue and rehoming program focuses on helping poodles and doodle dogs find safe, loving homes.
Whether a family can no longer care for a dog or a dog needs a fresh start, we work to ensure every placement is carefully considered and made with the dog's best interests in mind.
By providing an alternative to shelters whenever possible, we help dogs transition successfully into their next chapter.
Foster Care Program
Foster homes are the heart of our rescue efforts.
Our foster families provide temporary care, love, and stability while dogs await placement in permanent homes. Fostering allows us to learn more about each dog's personality, behavior, and needs, helping us make successful matches.
Every foster family plays a direct role in saving lives and preparing dogs for a brighter future.
Community Education & Support
We believe successful placements begin with education and ongoing support.
We provide resources and guidance on:
-
Responsible dog ownership
-
Puppy development and socialization
-
Emotional support animal information
-
Service dog training resources
-
Canine enrichment and wellness
-
Preparing for a new dog or puppy
Our goal is to help every family and every dog succeed together.
